General Camp Information

Headfirst Honor Roll Camps create a forum for student-athletes to meet and play in front of college coaches who can make a difference in helping them play at the next level. These coaches representing the nation’s most prestigious colleges and universities will evaluate and instruct each and every player. Created for student-athletes who are dedicated to excellence in the classroom and on the diamond, Headfirst Honor Roll Camps are can’t-miss events for high academic student-athletes.

2017 will be the 19th year of Honor Roll Camp. In 2016, Headfirst Honor Roll Camps hosted over 1,500 ballplayers from all over the world and more than 150 different college coaches. Our camps are so widely represented by colleges and universities because it provides them with a recruiting tool focused specifically on recruits with academic qualifications to be admitted to their school.

This year’s Honor Roll Camp curriculum will include events in three locations. Please do not wait to register for Honor Roll Camps. Last year, over 200 families were turned away from our events after they sold out.

All Headfirst Honor Roll Camps include:

  • Demonstrate skills during “Showcase morning” — including defensive showcase, batting practice & speed assessment
  • Opportunities to receive instruction from and interact with the country’s best college coaches
  • No fewer than four (4) live games (2 per player each day), with college coaches performing on-field instruction throughout
  • Chances to gain valuable information, assessments and perspectives on the college recruiting process

Comparing Headfirst Honor Roll Camp to other events aimed at helping high school ballplayers pursue college athletics is like comparing life in the Major Leagues to a season spent in A-ball. There is Headfirst. And then there is everything else. Mike Barnicle, Journalist & Father of Headfirst Honor Roll Camper
