Headfirst Alumni Spotlight: Princeton & NYU

September 14, 2017

After 20 years of running showcase camps, we’re continually awed and humbled by the student-athletes who we have the privilege of hosting each year. Their mindset, work ethic and grit set these athletes apart, and provide the foundation for success with each endeavor they undertake along their journey.

With these qualities in mind, we are excited to present the next edition of our Alumni Spotlight Series which highlights two more of these student-athletes – one a current pitcher for the NYU Violets and the other a future Ivy League catcher.

ADRIENNE CHANG – Princeton Tigers
School: Princeton, Class of 2023
Position: Catcher
Honor Roll Camp Attended: Southern California, 2016

Bio: A standout on and off the field for West Ranch High in Valencia, California, Adrienne currently boasts a 4.54 GPA and has been the starting varsity catcher since her freshman year. She has been awarded the Scholar Athlete Award for her high school in back-to-back years and is also an extremely active member of the community.

In addition to her contributions to West Ranch, Adrienne is also a key member of the SoCal Athletics travel organization, including a 2016 that saw her lead the team to the PGF Premier Championship while hitting .446 on the year.
Adrienne will join Coach Van Ackeren and the rest of the Tigers softball team as a freshman in the fall of 2019.

CALLIE KRAMSKY – NYU Violets
School: NYU, Class of 2021
Position: Pitcher
Honor Roll Camp Attended: Northeast 2014, 2015 & 2016

Bio: Callie begins her college career at NYU this fall after a spectacular career at Rutgers Preparatory in Somerset, NJ. During her four years playing for the Argonauts – Callie garnered an impressive collection of accolades including 2017 Skyland Conference Pitcher of the Year, Team Captain and Team MVP.

In addition to her prowess on the field, Callie was selected as a Senior Prefect and inducted into the Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society. She also received special recognition for her community service contributions which included efforts to restore homes damaged by Hurricane Sandy.

She joins her brother Marshall Kramsky at NYU who is a senior pitcher for the Violets. Together, Callie and Marshall represent the first siblings to play on NYU’s softball and baseball teams.
