FAQs

Does Headfirst provide a lunch for the campers?
Headfirst does not provide lunch or any meals for campers. Baseball Heaven’s cafe will be open during all camp hours for players and family members alike. There will not be one dedicated lunch break during the afternoon, but players will have breaks during which they will be able to eat a meal or snack. We will communicate these breaks clearly to the players — and when it makes sense to eat lunch.
Is there a sporting goods store near Baseball Heaven where we can pick-up baseball/sports supplies?
There is a Dick’s Sporting Goods approximately 10 miles (20 minutes) from Baseball Heaven in the Smith Haven Mall (620 Smith Haven Mall / Lake Grove, NY 11755). Smith Haven Mall is west of Baseball Heaven off of I-495.

Schedule

Arrival Time & Check-In

Unless instructed otherwise, ballplayers should plan to arrive for check-in between 7:00 and 7:30am on the first day of camp. Camp programming will begin at 7:45am.

Typical Schedule, Day 1

While event schedules can vary, Day 1 typically includes our offensive and defensive showcases (including 60-yard dash), an optional college recruiting seminar for parents, and four simulated games (each player will participate in 2 of these 4 games).

Typical Schedule, Day 2

Day 2 is comprised of additional simulated games. Once again, ballplayers will participate in 2 of 4 scheduled games. Our final round of games will end by approximately 4:30pm on Day 2.

Information for Pitchers

Pitchers should be prepared to throw two (2) simulated innings each day, if arms allow (and can limit themselves to one day or fewer innings if necessary). We will be available to speak with pitchers about their innings and arms at registration/check-in.

Travel & Accommodations All campers will be responsible for getting to the Honor Roll Camp locations on their own.
