The Headfirst formula of combining evaluation, instruction and motivation has made our Honor Roll Camps the most popular academic showcase camps in the country since 1998. Annually, we host approximately 1,000 ballplayers from across the United States and close to 150 college coaches. These coaches, representing the nation's most prestigious colleges and universities, will attend the camp to recruit, teach, and share information about their baseball programs. Headfirst Honor Roll Camps are open to rising or current high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. These programs are can’t miss events for high-performing baseball student-athletes.
Washington, DC natives Brendan Sullivan and Rob Elwood are the Directors of Headfirst Camps. In addition to our Honor Roll Camps, Headfirst has provided summer camps, after-school programs and professional sports instruction in the D.C. metropolitan area since 1996. Headfirst has become the largest and most popular provider of summer camps for children between the ages of 3-14. Throughout the years, Headfirst has formed relationships and hosted programs at and with schools such as The St. Albans School, Mater Dei, The Norwood School, Saint Luke School, Washington Christian Academy and The Congressional Schools of Virginia.
Headfirst was founded in 1996 in Washington, DC by Brendan Sullivan, Ted Sullivan and Rob Elwood on the philosophy that the playing field may serve as the best platform for some of life's greatest lessons. Leadership, teamwork, preparation and maximized effort are a few key principals upon which the Headfirst mentality has been built. The Headfirst goal is to provide the best professional sports and academic instruction for male and female student-athletes of all abilities, from 4 years old thru high school. This philosophy extends throughout all programs.
Nationally, Headfirst will offer five Honor Roll Camps in 2012. In addition, Headfirst Camps is now the official camp partner of the Boston Red Sox. As of June 20, 2011, Headfirst began operating a series of summer camps in the greater Boston area and nationwide for the youngest members of Red Sox Nation.
